Yet another unit for our Epic!
These are all Crusader Miniatures, with shields from Aventine.
Figures are predominantly from the Thracian range, with I think a few Greek thureophoroi I managed to scrounge off Simon to round out the unit.
Oh, and it looks like the site visit counter's hit 30,000 - thanks for looking!
Hmm. yummy.
ReplyDeleteI really like them.
Cheers
Seb
They look great! Super to see the units rolling off the line.
ReplyDeleteI play-tested the rules today with 8 players, went well (photies tomorrow). Hopefully a couple of the chaps will play at Partizan.
Cheers, Simon
Great looking unit, love the colour scheme
ReplyDeleteBeautiful figures and painting
ReplyDeleteGreat looking unit!
ReplyDeleteLovely. I like the nice plain shields offset by variation in tunic colours. Comes off really nicely.
ReplyDeleteNice, Thracians with rhompaia are one of my favorite units. The different colours are eye catching while gold helmets and white shields bring them together as one unit.
ReplyDeleteRelic miniatures does a nice(if gruesome)Thracian mini which I got stashed away until a time when I get a Thracian unit myself.
Great painttjob! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI like Crusader Miniatures a lot but it's a pity that those Thracians are huge step shorter than other Crusader Miniatures!
I am very excited to see how the Aventine Thracians look like in comparison to others.

Beautiful, really beautiful!
ReplyDeletePhil.
Excellent paint job. Great looking unit!!
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone for your comments.
ReplyDeleteCrusader figures always look a bit bland in the bare metal but generally paint up well without too much difficulty. I also think the Aventine shields really work well with them.
Now for the next unit - more Arabs...
